Meet Maryna, our visual virtuoso
We are very pleased to welcome Maryna to our team of brilliant Brainiacs who will be joining us as a graphic designer, illustrator and all-round creative guru. At WeAreBrain we are not only focused on creating new and innovative tech products that aim to make life easier for all, we like to present our work in a highly stylised, visually pleasing way to provide a completely polished product. Our mastermind engineers and meticulous developers work together to build some really amazing products and we can proudly say they are among the best in the business. But after the bugs have been fixed and all the elements are running smoothly, to let a dev or engineer handle the aesthetic side of the product wouldn’t be a good idea — after all, these guys aren’t known for their stylish glitz and glam! That’s where the incredible talents of Maryna come in. “I create various images, illustrations and graphic elements. I use graphics and illustrations as a method of visual communication that helps explain basic ideas and even difficult or complicated thoughts” she says.
Maryna communicates in visuals and reads shapes and colours much like musicians see sounds. Most people wouldn’t pay a fortune for only the engine of a Ferrari, they are most attracted to beauty of the body, the graceful lines, the unique shape and distinct Ferrari red. Boys across the globe dont have poster of engines on their wall now do they? Great design is crucial in attracting anyone to anything. “I like the creation process of new illustrations. It’s always interesting for me. I also like to explore new styles and techniques of drawing” she says.
After graduating from art and design academy, Maryna gained a few years of quality experience in the industry as a graphic designer and illustrator before joining our team. And how is she finding being a Brainiac so far? “I really like our friendly and creative team. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and amazing at what they do, it’s a really positive working environment” she says.
If you are a creative or have creative friends you will know that their creativity is always switched on and the way they view the world is much more colourful than most of us. They not only see the glass as half full, they also add patterns to the glass. And Maryna fits this profile perfectly. She devotes much of her spare time to quenching her creative thirsts by listening to music, going to live music shows, reading and playing video games.
So where does this creative creature get her inspiration from? “I really enjoy trawling creative sites like Pinterest and Abduzeedo. There I can find loads of different ideas and creative projects which help me to get my daily inspiration”.
Like most creatives, when asked if she could to choose to be anyone else for a day who that person would she replied “I would just be me”. Well we are very happy that you are happy to be you, Maryna, because we hired you for your creative perspective and awesome talent and we are looking forward to seeing how you leave your mark at WeAreBrain.
