We are happy to introduce a new Brainiac to our motley crew of creative go-getters. Lenn joins our team as a Junior Video Producer and will be responsible for developing and executing a diverse range of exciting visual storytelling projects.
Lenn graduated as a Game Artist from Grafisch Lyceum, Rotterdam which has given him an arsenal of creative skills that he infuses into his creative work every day. Prior to joining the Brainiac family, Lenn created and developed trailers for video games — some of which were live-action, and some solely gameplay or in-engine render work.
If you are familiar with today’s level of video games, you will know that the industry has come a long way from pixelated graphics and linear gameplay. Thanks to advancements in technology and the growth of the video game industry, modern games have evolved into highly sophisticated and cinematic forms of digital art that rely on strong narrative and innovative design. Which is why Lenn’s experience in the video game industry makes him the ideal candidate to take on the challenge of assisting us with our video storytelling endeavours.
“What I like most about what I do is probably the fact that I am involved in the production process from concept to final render, and I can put my creative skills to good use in all aspects of production,” he says.
Lenn joins our tech-tastic team at a rather peculiar time which has seen most of our team working remotely thanks to social distancing precautions. This means that unfortunately, Lenn hasn’t had the opportunity to meet all of the Brainiacs in-person just yet. But hopefully we will be back into the full swing of things soon so we can give Lenn a warm office welcome.
“I like that even though I have not met everybody yet and everything is a bit weird due to Covid, it already feels like a big family and I feel very welcome. Also, I feel like I’m being trusted to do what I do and that is something that’s pretty unique I think.”
Being a true creative through-and-through, Lenn enjoys painting “Bob Ross-style” landscapes in his spare time and, if given the keys to a time machine, he would like to explore Europe in the middle ages. He is also a ‘new dad’ with a 9-month old son, Charlie, which we are sure keeps him very busy!
Welcome to the Brainiac family, Lenn. We are super happy to have you onboard and we can’t wait to see your creativity come to life through the creative medium of video.
