Meet Oleksiy Koval – Java whisperer
When we look around the office, we’re always so proud to see such a diverse melting pot of minds and characters that make up our eclectic crew of IT misfits. One such Brainiac is Oleksiy, our Java Software Engineer.
Oleksiy is a pivotal member of our Appstract team, tirelessly working on the mobile backend for our Android and iOS applications. His expertise in Java and mobile development helps for the backbone of our seamless user experience.
Oleksiy earned a Master’s degree in engineering and has gained over 4 years of industry experience, bringing a wealth of knowledge to the WeAreBrain table. Before diving into software development, he was deeply involved in solar energy development throughout Ukraine which showcased his versatile skill set and passion for innovation.
But it seems mobile software engineering is where Oleksiy’s passion lies. “I love being a part of a team that develops solutions for millions of users. It’s what keeps me motivated to continuously push boundaries and exceed expectations,” he says.
For Oleksiy, being a member of the WeAreBrain team that shares a common passion for advanced technologies to add value to the world is more than a job, it’s a passion. “At WeAreBrain, we embrace innovation which inspires me to always go beyond expectations. The collaborative spirit here is evident in every project with each member adding tremendous value”.
While coding his is passion, Oleksiy leads an interesting life of quirky hobbies that reveal more about his interesting character. For instance, he has a knack for car scale modelling. With meticulous attention to detail, he recreates retro cars in stunningly realistic scale models.
He dreams of one day learning to play the piano and being the captain of a sailing yacht, navigating the open seas and embracing the serenity of ocean life (model cars along for the ride no doubt!). If he could witness any historical event, he would like to be present at the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.
Living to the motto of “The best is yet to come” reveals Oleksiy’s nature of pursuing progress – which places him in good company of our crew of like-minded Brainiacs. We look forward to witnessing how your pursuits take shape in the future, Oleksiy.
