Meet Iryna, our tech recruitment specialist
It’s time to make a new Brainiac, as we introduce you to our fantastically capable and oh-so-talented Tech Recruiter, Iryna.
In keeping with our flair for bringing in highly diverse specialists into our dynamic team of Brainiacs, Iryna takes this a step further by being possibly the most overqualified member of our team. Before becoming an amazing Tech Recruiter, Iryna earned her PhD in Psychology from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Yes, you read that correctly: our Tech Recruiter is also a Doctor of Psychology.
Prior to becoming a Brainiac, Iryna’s professional career saw her engaged in scientific work, teaching at a higher educational institution, working as a practising psychologist, and for the last 4 years, working as an IT recruiter.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist (or practising psychologist) to understand how Iryna’s highly impressive background in human psychology helps in her recruitment role. “I like to deeply communicate with people so I can discover how they operate in order to match them to a specific role according to their strengths. I enjoy the process of finding someone who is perfect for a specific project and/or team”.
Iryna’s keen eye for detail and her ability to see sparks of potential in new talent has helped to create an extraordinary team of digital and strategic artisans at WeAreBrain. She has a keen sense for reading people, listening attentively, and reading between the lines, which makes her such an asset to our recruitment team.
“In my opinion, people are the most important asset in a company. A good team is 90% of the success of any business”. In this respect, we are certainly successful thanks to Iryna’s dedicated approach to sourcing amazing talent.
When she isn’t psychologically assessing new recruits to ensure they are the right fit for our team, Iryna enjoys spending her time with her kids and being active outdoors. She also likes to read anything related to psychology, scientific literature, and fiction. If she could be anyone else for a day, she would either like to be a cat, Elon Musk, or her daughter so she can “see life through her eyes”.
When asked which historical event she would like to witness first-hand, she responded with the following list:
- The liberation of Kiev from Nazi invaders on November 6, 1943.
- The first manned flight into space on April 12, 1961.
- The Battle of the Ice on April 5, 1242.
- Napoleon’s defeat at Waterloo on June 18, 1815.
- “I would also like to return for a day to my childhood (school and student years) to see myself as I once was. I look forward to the invention of the time machine :)”.
Iryna’s delightful personality can be summed up by her approach to life: “Never regret anything. Don’t look back and don’t try to look into the future. Rather, live in the present because nothing is impossible”.
