The challenge

In partnership with WeAreSolving and The Garage, we helped a major European eMobility company differentiate itself in the fast-growing and competitive electric vehicle (EV) charging market. By focusing on a customer-first product vision, we aligned business goals with customer needs, delivering a strategy that now underpins several strategic initiatives. This collaborative effort has enabled the company to stand out and lead the way in Europe’s EV charging landscape.

As a newly formed subsidiary in the highly competitive European eMobility sector, the company needed to establish a clear and compelling value proposition. With varying levels of EV adoption and energy market maturity across Europe, it was essential to create a product vision that resonated with customers in different regions. The company also needed a unified internal strategy to ensure consistent customer experiences and innovation across all markets, while fostering team alignment. Our solution

Through a collaborative effort with WeAreSolving and The Garage, we facilitated a series of multi-day workshops that laid the foundation for a strong, customer-centric product vision. This vision addressed four key questions critical to the company’s success:

  4. Why are we the best to solve it?

We conducted in-depth user research across various European markets, gathering insights into the distinct needs of EV customers. Using these insights, we crafted a comprehensive product vision tailored to diverse market conditions and customer requirements. This vision was documented in a detailed playbook, featuring infographics, visualized customer journeys, and a product manifesto, ensuring effective communication and implementation throughout the organization.

The playbook has become a critical tool for aligning internal teams and guiding the development of new offerings, including smart charging solutions and digital products like the company’s website and mobile app. The visuals and infographics help articulate the company’s unique value proposition, making it easier to align with the evolving expectations of European EV customers.
